The EMSELLA Chair

Lume’s EMSELLA treatment can be used to treat urinary incontinence due to aging, childbirth, or a weakened pelvic floor. In just 30-minutes, the EMSELLA Chair uses High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic (HIFEM) technology to trigger muscle contractions in the pelvic region. This helps prevent future leaks and increase sexual satisfaction. Just one EMSELLA session is equivalent to 11,000 kegel repetitions!

How it works

ELECTROMAGNETIC ENERGY

EMSELLA applies High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic (HIFEM) energy to the pelvic region, which has been found in clinical studies to be more effective at treating pelvic floor disorders compared to alternative methods. The electromagnetic field generated by the EMSELLA device penetrates the targeted tissues of the pelvic floor, activating motor neurons which cause the muscles to contract. These supramaximal contractions are much more intense than what one could achieve through exercises like kegels. This intense level of muscle activation helps to re-educate and strengthen the pelvic floor muscles.

STRENGTHENED MUSCLE FUNCTION

These repetitive and intense contractions enhance muscle tone and endurance, providing structural support to the pelvic organs and improving the function of the urinary tract. This therapy is particularly beneficial for individuals experiencing urinary incontinence. Over time, repeated sessions can lead to significant improvements in pelvic health and overall quality of life.

FAQ

What is incontinence?

Incontinence refers to the involuntary loss of control over the bladder or bowel function. It can manifest as leaks throughout the day or losing control when you have a full bladder.

Urinary incontinence can be caused by a variety of factors, including age, weak pelvic floor muscles, nerve damage, hormonal changes, and certain medical conditions. It is important to consult with a healthcare professional to determine the underlying cause and appropriate treatment options for urinary incontinence.

Emsella uses HIFEM technology to strengthen pelvic floor muscles and improve muscle control. Each session triggers strong muscle contractions, helping patients reverse incontinence.

EMSELLA is used to treat incontinence due to age, childbirth, or a weakened pelvic floor. It can also be used to increase sexual satisfaction.

EMSELLA works by using high-intensity focused electromagnetic technology to stimulate the pelvic floor muscles. This stimulation helps to strengthen and tone the muscles, leading to improved bladder control and overall pelvic health.

EMSELLA feels like a gentle pulsing sensation in the pelvic region. It is often described as a comfortable and relaxing experience.

Each EMSELLA treatment typically lasts about 30 minutes.

Most patients need several treatments to see long-lasting results. A usual treatment plan includes six sessions, every two weeks, each lasting about 30 minutes. These treatments won't interfere with your daily routine.

Emsella patients can typically expect to notice results after a few sessions. However, the exact timing may vary depending on individual factors such as the severity of the condition being treated and the patient's overall health. It is important to follow the treatment plan recommended by your healthcare provider.
