While you are in the chamber the drop in temperature will lower skin surface temperature significantly. This causes your body to activate a central nervous system response and causes a release of endorphins ( “fight or flight” mode) that protects your internal organs by pushing blood to the core where it then recirculates.
As your blood vessels begin vasoconstriction (constricting), blood circulates on an internal tract. During this process, red blood cells are enriched with oxygen, nutrients, and enzymes. Toxins are then flushed from peripheral tissues.
After exiting the cryochamber, your body immediately begins to reheat itself, blood recirculates back to the skin’s surface tissue, muscle tissues and joints. Endorphins and anti-inflammatory proteins are then released and toxins, lactic acid and metabolic waste are cleared.

Some people say they feel benefits immediately after a cryotherapy session. Research has shown that you will experience improved and cumulative benefits after a minimum of 10 sessions within a two or three week period.
For general use, 2-3 sessions per week is the norm.
During a full body cryotherapy session, we suggest wearing undergarments.
Sensitive body parts will be covered with a facemask, ear muffs, gloves, socks, and shoes provided by Lume.
All jewelry or anything metal should be removed.
Lume has a state of the art cryotherapy chamber that does not require Nitrogen. In standard cryotherapy chambers there is a risk of breathing in the nitrogen creating asphyxiation.
Due to the cold temperatures sensitive body parts should be covered with a face mask, ear muffs, gloves, and socks or slippers. Burning of the skin or frostbite can occur when proper attire protocol is not followed.

There are more benefits to being cold than being able to snuggle up with a cozy blanket. In fact, when temperatures are low enough, it triggers a natural fight or flight response in your body. We use cryotherapy to expose your body to these conditions, promoting a reduction in pain, enhanced metabolism, and reduced inflammation. Cryotherapy can also boost your metabolism and overall energy levels. It’s not just about braving the cold; it’s about harnessing the body’s natural abilities to rejuvenate and heal.
